The Libertines in Amsterdam

At the beginning of March I popped over to my favourite European city once again, this time the excuse was to see one of my long-adored bands (The Libertines) play at the equally adored venue Paradiso. Having been ticket holders for the gig-that-never-was at London’s Electric Ballroom back in September we decided that the rescheduled O2 Arena gig just wasn’t quite the same and we couldn’t resist the Paradiso’s charms. It turned out to be a great decision, the band were on amazing form, treating us to 2 encores and coming out to say hi to everyone at the end of the night.

Despite being coming out with a horrible cold and being met with rain AND hailstones we still managed to explore Amsterdam and took a little trip out to another city – Haarlem which was really pretty and only 20 minutes away on the train. My only disappointment being that despite visiting the Netherlands over 10 times I’m still yet to have managed a trip to the tulip fields!! …looks like I’ll have to go back again!

Below the photo diary there’s a little list of some of my fave places/things to do in this amazing city 🙂
